GridPlan Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 1, 2026

Summary

GridPlan has no user accounts and does not ask for your name, email address or iRacing login.

What you enter in the app (the content you own, your favorite series, your Shop Guide choices and your settings) is stored only on your device. We never receive it.

GridPlan does not show ads and does not use analytics or tracking.

Information stored on your device

The app keeps the following in its private storage on your device: the tracks and cars you marked as owned, your favorite series, the series and items in your Shop Guide, your theme preference, and a copy of the most recently downloaded season data.

This information is not uploaded anywhere. If you use "Back up", the app creates a file and hands it to the Android share menu; you decide where it goes. If you use "Restore", the app reads only the file you pick.

Season data downloads

To keep the schedule current, the app downloads a public season data file from a web server (currently GitHub). Like any web request, this reveals your IP address and basic technical information, such as the time of the request, to that server's operator. The request contains no personal information from the app. See GitHub's privacy statement for how GitHub handles server logs.

Permissions

The app uses the Internet and network state permissions to download season data. It does not request access to your location, contacts, camera, microphone, files or advertising ID.

Children

GridPlan is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Keeping and deleting your data

Because your data stays on your device, you can delete all of it by clearing the app's storage in Android settings or by uninstalling the app. We hold no copy.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, for example if ads are added, the new version will be published at the same address with a new effective date, and the app will show it before any change takes effect.
